Rooted Shimmer

Rooted Shimmer began with a simple idea: something rooted, emerging from the ground and rising upward.

The painting began as a Dutch pour, using controlled air and deliberate canvas tilting to move the acrylic paint across the canvas. From that spontaneous movement, I pulled the roots through the paint by hand, giving the piece its sense of grounding and emergence.
